Notes: In need of transfer from Lee County Va Shelter. Momma (now Lainey) came from terrible conditions along with 5 other dogs. She is around 10 years old and 50-55 lbs. It appears she has had several litters of pups. Super sweet and still a lot of life in this girl. Great with other dogs. Rescues can text 276.202.1198. ONE BY ONEOne by one, they pass by my cageToo old, too worn, too broken, they say Way past his time, he can’t run and play They shake their heads and go on their way A little old man, arthritic and sore It seems that I am wanted no more I once had a home, I once had a bed A place that was warm, and where I was fed Now my muzzle is grey, and my eyes slowly fail Who wants a dog so old and so frail? - Adoption of dogs is open to residents of Lee, Scott, Wise, Russell, Washington County areas of Virginia.
- Adopters must sign a sterilization agreement to have the adopted pet spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption.
- Adopters must return the proof of sterilization paperwork within seven (7) days of dog being spayed or neutered.
- Dogs that have been spayed/neutered are available for adoption to anyone including out of state residents.
- State law requires that all dogs and cats be vaccinated for rabies.
